The starting point is that (a group of) investors can contribute at least €3.75 million. This may consist of VC capital, capital from family offices, (groups of) informal investors, etc. The minimum fund amount is €7.5 million, because this usually allows a healthy distribution in the target fund portfolio and because management costs would otherwise be too high.
