eRoutes

eRoutes is a Groningen start-up whose mission is to create a healthier world by making daily healthy exercise accessible and fun, instead of something we feel we have to do. This platform creates unique routes around the world matching the user’s desired distance and location. This idea follows on from the Healthy Ageing initiative of the UMCG (the University Medical Center Groningen).

More than 73,000 registered users of eRoutes are proof of the relevance of the platform. This number is growing by some 250 new users a day. In this current COVID-restricted society, in which people still want to go out and trek to parks, nature conservation areas and beaches in large numbers, eRoutes offers great added value. From their own homes, routes are generated that almost automatically create a corona-proof map for rambling enthusiasts.
